PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which is excellent in a cleaning property for an area close to a wall, and a suction port body for the electric vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: This electric vacuum cleaner is constituted of an electric vacuum cleaner main body 100, a suction hose 200 with flexibility, an at-hand handle 300, a connection tube 400, and a suction port body 500. In this case, the suction port body 500 is equipped with a suction port main body 1000 equipped with a suction port 1010 to suck in dust and dirt, and a universal connected part 1500 which connects the suction port main body 1000 with a connection tube 400, and makes a rotating angle P1 of the at-hand handle 300 which is transmitted through the connection tube 400, and a rotating angle P2 of the suction port body 500 roughly meet. In addition, a slipping member 1100 around the suction port body 500, a moving means 1200 which can move in the longitudinal and lateral directions on the bottom surface, and a dust and dirt guide means 1300 between the suction port 1010 and the tip end part of the suction port body 500, are provided.
