PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling stop device and a constant velocity joint devised to allow movement of an inside member to the deep side of an outside member and to constrain falling of the inside member from the opening side. SOLUTION: A ring groove 50 becoming deeper toward the deep side from the opening side is provided on an inner peripheral surface of an opening part of an outside member 32 (outer race), a snap ring 51 having a bent part 52 a part of which is bent in the axial direction toward the deep side from the opening side and having a convex curve part 53 is engaged with the ring groove 50, a diameter of the snap ring 51 is opened wide and movement of an inside member 33 (inner race) to the deep side of the outer member 32 is allowed at the time when the snap ring 51 is pushed to the deep side of the ring groove 50 by the inside member 33 (inner race), and as the snap ring 51 is engaged with the ring groove 50 at an initial state in movement to fall from the opening part of the outside member 32, the inside member 33 is engaged with the snap ring 51 and falling from the opening part is constrained.
