STATOR FOR ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of the magnetic efficiency of a stator for rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: The stator core of a stator for rotary electric machine is divided into six split cores 1. Each split core 1 is formed by laminating steel sheets upon another in the axial direction and has comb-shaped lap sections 11 at its both end sections in the peripheral direction. The lap sections 11 overlap each other in the peripheral direction in such a way that each lap section 11 is meshed with its adjacent lap sections 11 in the peripheral direction from the axial direction. Therefore, the magnetic efficiency of the stator is improved, because the losses of the magnetic fluxes flowing to adjacent split cores 1 from each split core 1 become smaller.
