PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processor capable of compensating the drop of a sensor output due to the stain of a carrying surface and improving the identification accuracy of a coin. SOLUTION: This coin processor has an image sensor 30 which detects the pattern on the surface of a coin C, a sensor 40 which detects the outer diameter of the coin C and a material sensor 60 which detects the material of the coin C in an integral manner. The image sensor 30 has a transparent plate 31 constituting a carrying surface 5 carrying the coin C and is given a rank corresponding to the degree of the stain of the transparent plate 31. When the identification accuracy by the sensor 30 falls because the carrying surface gets stained, detection results by another sensor having a high rank are preferentially decided so that the drop of the detection accuracy of the image sensor 30 can be compensated and that the identification accuracy of a coin in an inspecting part can be improved.
