PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the effect of preventing the transverse leakage of a sanitary napkin having a built-up central part. SOLUTION: An elastic member 6 in a stretched state extends longitudinally to the central part in the transverse direction within the sanitary napkin 1, by which the surface part of the napkin 1 may be built upward. Line grooves 11 which are compressed with the surface sheet 2 and a core 4 toward a rear surface sheet 3 and extend in a longitudinal direction are formed on both sides of the napkin. Three lines of stopping areas 12 are formed by applying a tacky adhesive on the rear surface of the rear surface sheet 3. These stopping areas 12 are coated and protected by release paper 13.
