PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the separation of parts in the disposal and to reutilize the parts except a filter as they are by combining an upper case having a flow-out port and a lower case having flow-in port with a flexible means in a fluid filter device for automatic transmission used for automobile or the like. SOLUTION: The fluid filter device for automatic transmission is constituted so as to insert the filter 17 between the lower case 3 having the flow-in port and the upper case 2 having the flow-out port and to hold the filter 17 in a void space dividedly formed by the upper and the lower cases 2, 3. The filter 17 and the lower case 3 are combined with each other by bending the extended part of the lower case 3 outside and placing the filter 17 on the inside surface of the base 8 of the lower case 3 and the upper case 2 is combined by being placed on the filter 17. The sealing property of the void space is improved by applying a sealing agent between a projecting part 23 of the upper case 2 and a vertical part 6 of the lower case 3, that is a connection part, or by forming a groove on the vertical part 23b of the projecting part 23 of the upper case 2 and fitting an O-ring on the groove.
