A liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a first insulating substrate, a pixel electrode located on the first insulating substrate, a first alignment layer located on the pixel electrode, a second insulating substrate facing the first insulating substrate, a common electrode located on the second insulating substrate, a second alignment layer located on the common electrode, and a liquid crystal molecules located between the first alignment layer and the second alignment layer. The first alignment layer and the second first alignment layer have different charges. So, the generation of texture by the mismatch of upper and lower display panels can be controlled.
