PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit energy saving operation by utilizing low-temperature outdoor air effectively when the outdoor air temperature is low, in a cooling and receiving device used for self heat generating body. SOLUTION: A heat generating body receiving device is provided in a cabinet 1 of a sealed casing structure with an outdoor air ventilating passage 12, supplying outdoor air through a fan 5 for outdoor air and discharging the outdoor air to the outside of a room under an intercepted condition from air in the cabinet 1, an indoor air circulating passage 17, circulating air in the cabinet 1 through a circulating fan 4 for indoor air, an air cooler 14, arranged in the indoor air circulating passage 17 and operated through a refrigerating machine 13, and a heat exchanging element 6, exchanging sensitive heat between the outdoor air and the indoor air. According to this constitution, cooling, extremely reduced in the consumption of energy, can be effected employing the heat exchanging element 6 in a season wherein the outdoor air temperature is low and energy saving cooling employing the heat exchanging element 6 and the refrigerating machine 13 can be effected in an intermediate season while the cooling by the refrigerating machine 13 can be effected while bypassing the heat exchanging element 6 in a season wherein the outdoor air temperature is high.
