PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper posterior processor that can stack output paper on a paper delivery tray in an orderly fashion even when used with copying machines or printers having a higher paper processing speed. SOLUTION: A low-speed roller 16 is disposed in addition to a paper delivery drive roller 25 for discharging paper to a paper delivery tray 12, and is slightly offset from the paper delivery drive roller 25. For discharging paper, the paper delivery drive roller 25 is decelerated only to transfer the trailing edge of paper only by a slight distance, and the low-speed roller 16 takes over the carrying of paper. The deceleration duration of the paper delivery drive roller 25 thus becomes extremely shorter, so that its normal feeding speed can be made equal to that of copying machines, printers or others and free from speed control.
