PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure uniform compliance over the whole of a reservoir while holding the exclusion properties of air bubbles from the reservoir. SOLUTION: A reservoir 8 is formed as an almost rectangular opening to prevent a lowering of compliance in an end part region and walls 18, 18' prescribing ink flow channels at a pitch almost same to that of the partition walls demarcating pressure generating chambers 9, 11 are formed to the end part region and the walls 18' positioned on an ink inlet side among the walls prescribing the ink flow channels enhance the flow channel resistance of the ink flow channels along with the wall of the reservoir 8 and air bubbles are separated and divided in the narrow areas demarcated by the walls 18, 18' to be made easy to suck.
