PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a high cooling performance and a large containing volume of a refrigerator to be compatible by providing an air passage for communicating an upper part with a lower part of a container at a position between a fan and a compressor and a partition plate above the fan at the fan side from an opening of its upper side. SOLUTION: A first partition plate 7 is provided in contact with a mounting surface 15 to partition between a lower surface of a drain water evaporating tray 1 and a lower surface of a machine room 1 to a suction chamber 17 and a discharge chamber 19. A second partition 21 is provided in contact with an upper surface of the tray 11 and a ceiling 13 of the room 1 to partition the tray 11 to the chamber 17 side and the chamber 19 side. A ventilating passage 27 is provided integrally with the tray 11 on the way of the tray 11 to be branched to air (C) to a compressor 9 side and air (D) to the passage 27 side. Thus, the air outputted from the fan to be short-circuited from the discharge chamber to the suction chamber is eliminated, heat radiating amounts of a condenser and the compressor are increased, and a cooling performance is improved. Further, the tray is reduced in size and hence a reduction in size of the machine room can be realized.
