Fly ash storage in single material dumps and fly ash recycling as a concrete additive with modified or non-pozzolanic properties are new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) fly ash storage in single material dumps after treatment with pozzolanic reaction imparting or accelerating mineral components, especially CaO, and reaction product recovery as a concrete additive; and (ii) fly ash recovery by the above storage and treatment operations, the alkalinity of the concrete not being affected or modified.
