PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector overhead hanging device capable of easily and safely overhead hanging a projector. SOLUTION: This overhead hanging device fixes and holds the projector 1 to an overhead hanging state by fixing a projector side bracket 100 (200) fixed to the projector 1 to a ceiling side bracket 300 fixed to a ceiling side. The one bracket 100 (200) is provided with a hook (J slot 222) and the other bracket 300 is provided with a hooking mechanism (fastening screw 328). The projector 1 fixing the projector side bracket 100 (200) is lifted from below and the J slot 222 and the fastening screw 328 are engaged with each other, by which both brackets 100 (200), 300 are temporarily fastened (temporarily fixed). Since the weight of the projector 1 is supported by this temporary fixing part, an operator is no more required to support the entire weight of the projector 1 and the fixation between both brackets 100 (200), 300 may be smoothly executed.
