MARKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device in which a scratch is not caused on a material to be marked in the case of alignment of a marking position and furthermore marking can be performed at high speed. SOLUTION: The marking device consists of a carrier means 1 carrying a work 9 being a sheet and a plate, a marking press 2 applying a mark to the work carried by the carrier means 1, an image processing camera 3 imaging the work 9 carried to the marking position and a controlling means regulating the position of the marking head of the marking press 2 in accordance with an image obtained by the image processing camera 3. Alignment of the marking position is not performed by position regulation on the work 9 side but is performed on the marking head side of the marking press.
