摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine working points that are reliably supplied with an optimum amount of air including a trace of atomized coolant, by varying air supply conditions for the working points in dependence upon the type of tool and upon working conditions among others. SOLUTION: A trace coolant feeder 1 for feeding air including a trace of atomized coolant 7 to a working point 5 via a nozzle hole in a tool 4 comprises an atomizing chamber 21 that includes a casing 25 for storing liquid coolant 23 and an atomizer means 20 for spraying atomization compressed air 22b over drops of coolant to atomize it and that stores the atomized coolant 7 made by the atomizer means 20, a coolant feeder means 42 for feeding the coolant drops to the atomizer means 20, an atomization compressed air feeder means 44 for supplying the atomization compressed air to the atomizer means 20, an atomized coolant passage 45 for leading air including the atomized coolant 7 to the nozzle hole of the tool 4, and a controller means 31 for controlling the supply action of both coolant feeder means 42 and atomization compressed air feeder means 44.
