PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent audio devices from generating audio outputs at the same time on a PC having a USB interface. SOLUTION: When the connection of a USB speaker 13 or USB headphones 14 is detected, control inhibiting the output of a non-USB speaker 12 is performed. When the USB speaker 13 and USB headphones 14 are both connected, control for allowing audio output from one of those USB audio devices is performed. Through priority control between the USB audio devices and non-USB audio device, audio devices are prevented from generating audio outputs at the same time.
