PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an APC(automatic power control) circuit which can reduce the size of the transmitting section of multiband radio equipment without increasing the current consumption. SOLUTION: A level comparing means 330 compares the intensity of the signals obtained by fetching a part of first and second transmitting RF signals by means of a power distributing means, which signals are respectively amplified through variable gain control amplifiers 140 and 240 and rectified by means of a rectifying means 320 with a power control signal indicating the intensity of the transmitting RF signals amplified by means of the amplifiers 140 and 240 and a control voltage feedback selecting means 10 selectively supplies the compared results of the comparing means 330 to the amplifiers 140 and 240 as a gain control voltage. Thus, the amplifiers 140 and 240 are set to turned-off states during the non-amplifying period of the transmitting RF signals.
