FIELD: agriculture, in particular, surface tillage of soil in accordance with moisture accumulating, moisture saving and energy saving technology in water deficiency zones. SUBSTANCE: tillage unit has frame and working tools mounted in succession on frame. First three rows of working tools are made in the form of A-hoes or shaving hoes with rigid tines for cultivating soil to 12 cm depth. Two other rows of working tools are equipped with Canadian tines, are positioned at 4-6 cm depth and adapted for mellowing soil and combing out weeds. Convexity of Canadian tines is oriented in the direction of advancement of tillage tool. Two rows of working tools with Canadian tines are followed with two rows of ring rollers and crossfoot rollers adapted for performing surface leveling and compaction of soil. Such construction allows advantageous plant growing and development conditions to be provided and moisture to be effectively accumulated and used.
