Cyclone for the airsuction of combustion engine

A cyclone for separating dust from a gas such as the intake air to an IC engine has a cylindrical housing (1) with an air inlet and outlet, to which a dust-collecting chamber (5) is attached with a bayonet connector (11). The housing has deflecting blades (2) to generate vortices. There are more blades (9) near the air outlet (8) for the purified gas. These convert the vortex flow of the air into linear flow and thereby reduce the flow resistance. The gas flows upwards through the cyclone and reverses by 180 deg. at the top before emerging. The lid of the dust collector has snap connectors and a handle.
