PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-processor system which includes error reacting means feasible at relatively small cost, can be placed in a specific error reacting state when those error reacting means confirm an error, and operates safely against a fault within a specific range. SOLUTION: The single-processor system has a processor unit 1 which implements necessary system functions and the error correcting means, which monitor the system as to the errors and implement necessary system functions for placing the system in the specific error reacting state when an error is confirmed, specially, dangerous control functions for safety. The error reacting means include two mutually independent watchdog units WD1 and WD2 attached to the processor unit for error monitoring and those watchdog units when confirming an error allow the system to move into the error reacting state.
