PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity by automating the molten sealing work of a plasma display panel. SOLUTION: An upper support table 16U and a lower support table 16D are arranged, so as to pinch an exhaust tube 12 from upper and lower thereof near the exhaust tube 12 of a plasma display panel 10. The support tables 16U, 16D are provided with burners 24U, 24D and cutters 20U, 20D. The support tables 16U, 16D for positioning the exhaust tube 12 at heating position for heating the exhaust tube 12 softened with the burners 24U, 24D are driven to a cutting position for cutting the exhaust tube 12 with the cutters 20U, 20D by air cylinders 44U, 44D.
