<p>The invention relates to a method and apparatus (10) for polishing parts (12) which have at least one cavity (14) to be polished, said parts (12) being in the form of hot chambers for preforming. A polishing mixture (13) is introduced into the cavity (14) so that it makes contact with the surfaces to be polished, the polishing mixture being moved, for a preset time, relative to the surfaces to be polished. The optimum composition of the polishing mixture (13) consists of an 80 % weight of metal pellets, 10 % abrasive, 5 % polish and 5 % water. The polishing mixture (13) is introduced into the cavity (14) in the form of a current flow and the part (12) is subjected to vibration.</p> |
