PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost and a maintenance cost by providing a winding transission train having a winding intermediary node for transmitting rotation of a driving rotary body to a driven rotary body by being wound round the driving rotary body and the driven rotary body. SOLUTION: In a multistage pump device, a plastic-driving wheel 21, a driven wheel 22 and a rubber timing belt 24 are adopted to transmit rotation of the driving wheel 21 to the driven wheel 22 by the timing belt 24 to thus transmit rotation of a driving shaft of a motor M to first/second shafts 7, 8 of a multistage Roots pump P to thereby obviate maintenance such as addition and the replacement of lubricating oil. Since the rotation is transmitted via the timing belt 24, a relatively thin object can be adopted as the driving wheel 21 and the driven wheel 22. Thus, this multistage pump device can reduce a manufacturing cost and a maintenance cost.
