PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and miniaturize a generating device built in a camera or the like by providing such a structure that the operation for giving a mechanical energy to the generating device and the operation of engaging an engagement part and releasing the engagement thereof can be performed commonly by moving a movable part exposed from a case. SOLUTION: When a generating device is mounted on a battery housing part in a camera or the like, a winding member 22 is rotated clockwise to screw the screw part 19 of the generating device to the battery housing part. When the resistance between the screw part 19 and the battery housing part required for this screwing is relatively small, an inner case 21 is rotated in the same direction by the rotating force of the winding member 2, and an outer case 10 is also rotated through a one-way clutch 15. When the resistance between the screw part 19 and the battery housing part required for the screwing is increased to some degree, the winding of a spring 23 is started according to the rotation of the winding member 22. A permanent magnet 34 is rotated through gear mechanisms 24-33 by the release of the energy accumulated in the sprint 23 to perform the generation.
