PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the feed pump of a fuel injection pump by eliminating the leakage loss of the feed pump and to easily achieve a predetermined feed pressure to secure a stable feed pressure by reducing variations in the feed pressure. SOLUTION: This injection pump pressurizes fuel in a low pressure chamber 14 by means of a feed pump 13 and feeds it to a high pressure chamber. In this case, the fuel pressurized by the feed pump 13 is guided also to a back pressure chamber 58 formed between a vane groove 47 and a vane 48 and a sealing chamber 63 communicating with the back pressure chamber 58 is provided between a drive shaft 3 and a feed pump cover 49. The sealing chamber 63 is provided with a U-ring 64 for sealing the fuel guided to the back chamber 58 to prevent its leakage to the low pressure chamber 14. This sealing member is provided on the outside of the feed pump cover 49.
