<p>A unit (2) for induction heating of a workpiece comprises a disc-shaped base plate (5). At least one pole (6) is connected to the base plate (5) and arranged to abut against one side of the workpiece or a tool containing the workpiece. Moreover the unit (2) comprises a coil arranged round each pole (6) and designed to be connected to a voltage source for generating a magnetic field in and round said at least one pole (6). The unit (2) is designed so that two identical, juxtaposed units have an essentially constant distance between poles neighbouring each other, both between said units and, if the unit has more than one pole (6), within the respective units. A heating assembly comprises at least two such units (2) which are designed and arranged side by side in such manner that each pole (6) of the heating assembly has an essentially constant distance to the neighbouring pole or poles (6).</p> |
