PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clear ultrasonic image, to make a durability and cleaning property excellent and to improve an operability by shortening a flexible shaft length between an ultrasonic wave vibrator and a rotary angle detecting means without making an inserting part thick. SOLUTION: A slip ring as a rotary signal transmitting means is arranged inside a sub-handle in parallel with an encoder as the rotary angle detecting means, a motor as a rotation driving means is disposed inside a scope connector part and the flexible shaft as a rotation transmitting shaft to be connected to the ultrasonic vibrator 2, the slip ring and the encoder is divided into a tip side flexible shaft 21 to be connected to the ultrasonic vibrator 2 and a rear end side flexible shaft to be connected to the motor. In a structure, a vibrator side transmit/receive cable 22 is put through in the tip side flexible shaft 21 and a connector side transmit/receive cable is installed together in the rear end side flexible shaft.
