PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for the bending operation of an endoscope that helps improve the operability of the second bending control knob, by making it less breakable against external forces and miniaturizing a braking control section as a whole and preventing the braking control section from interfering in the operation of a lateral bending operation knob. SOLUTION: Component members including a second butting member 75 for forming the braking means of a second operation knob 70, a second pressure contacting member 91, second holding member 83, second brake shaft 95 as a position regulating means that regulates the braking position and the non- braking position of the second pressure contacting member 91, a third click spring, and a fourth click spring are arranged in the interior of the second control knob 70.
