The invention relates to the use of a composition for producing a medicament for treating human or animal diseases that are characterized by pathophysiologically elevated extracellular FasL titers. The invention further relates to methods for in vitro prophylactically testing the suitability or quality of a composition, especially of an IVIG mixture, to be used for producing a medicament for treating said diseases. The invention also relates to a method of producing a medicament with improved pharmaceutical effect for treating human or animal diseases that are characterized by elevated extracellular FasL titers.
