PURPOSE: A projection type image display device having TMA(thin-film micromirror array-actuated) panel is provided to structure a projection lens with zoom lens systems, thereby freely changing the size of a screen and providing clean images. CONSTITUTION: A projection type image display device having TMA panel comprises a light source(111), TMA panels(120,122,124), a source stop(113), a projection stop(115), field lenses(130,132,134) and a projection lens(116). The TMA panels(120,122,124) consist of mirror pixels for reflecting lights and are deformed into sizes corresponding to the strength of corresponding single pixel. The fluxes of the lights from the source(111) are focused by the source stop(113). The image of the source stop(113) is focused to the projection stop(115) with 1:1 by the field lenses(130,132,134). The projection lens(116) consists of first to forth lens groups from a screen.
