DEVICE FOR PLAYING BACK AUDIO DATA OF CD-ROM AND DVD-ROM

PURPOSE: A device is provided to play back audio data of a DVD-ROM without using an external apparatus by installing a CD decoder and an audio MPEG decoder. CONSTITUTION: A CD(Compact Disk) or a DVD(Digital Video Disk) is inserted to a deck unit(4), and a user feeds an establish signal through a playback establish unit(1). A microcomputer(2) operates the playback of the CD-ROM or the DVD-ROM. The audio signal of the disk is applied to a digital signal processing unit(5) for processing the audio signal. The processed signal is applied to a CD decoder(7) and to an audio MPEG decoder(8). Herein, the microcomputer detects the signal output from the digital signal processing unit for detecting the format of the output signal. The microcomputer controls a switching instrument(9) for applying the audio signal from the CD decoder or from the audio MPEG decoder to a D/A converter(10) according to a configuration of a file output.
