PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a measuring method of antenna opening distribution which is capable of measuring easily in a short time by applying phase retrieval method, without changing the physical conditions, such as measuring distance between a transmitter and a receiver. SOLUTION: For a direct radiation type phased array antenna 1, only the amplitude of a radiation pattern at a certain measurement distance is measured for two or more cases that phase distribution of the opening are arbitrarily varied from the initial state and initial value. By using the measured amplitude value and the variation quantity of the phase in the phase retrieval method, the amplitude/phase distribution at the antenna opening and that at the antenna measurement surface are obtained through field conversion alternately and by repeating the calculation, until the solution converges, an antenna opening distribution measurement method of attaining the purpose is realized.
