PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid polyelectrolyte having a high ionic conductivity, excellent even in electrochemical stability and having flexibility. SOLUTION: A polycarbonate polyl having >=3 hydroxyl groups in the molecule is initially used as a starting raw material and a part of the hydroxyl groups are converted into acrylic or methacrylic esters and the residual hydroxyl groups are converted into ester groups, carbonate groups or ether groups of a hydrocarbon to produce a polycarbonate (meth)acrylate, which is further polymerized. An alkali metal salt is then dispersed in the resultant polymeric resin to afford a solid polyelectrolyte.
