PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the futile power consumption in the inactive period of the recording operation, that caused by that the intermittent recording operation to a disk is carried out when the data processing speed is higher than the transfer speed of received data in a disk recorder. SOLUTION: When the writing into the disk is reopened, the start position of the recording operation is detected by a detection means 19 for the start position of recording operation, and also the disk is synchronized to the already recorded recording data by a synchronization setting means 20 so that consecutive recording data are written once on the disk without joint. Then the write-in to the disk is stopped till the data capacity stored in a buffer memory 13 becomes the allowable full amount for writing, and the write-in to the disk is reopened when such a state is detected as the data capacity stored in the buffer memory 13 becomes the allowable full amount for writing. By this procedure, the reduction of power consumption is attained during the period when the recording ability of the disk recorder becomes excessive as compared with the transfer speed of the received data.
