The tension ring is slightly elastic and has a gap for the insertion of a precious stone. In order to enhance the appearance of the stainless steel ring (10) its surface is covered with a layer of a precious metal (20). Both materials (10,20) are already joined during the production process by a specific thermal and mechanical treatment. The cover (20) penetrates the material of the core (10), creating a seamless layer.
