PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member excellent in seizure resistance, pollution resistance and safety by forming a paint film made of a coating composition containing a metal organic compound on a base material, and heat-treating it at a specific temperature or below. SOLUTION: A paint film made of a coating composition containing a metal organic compound is formed on a base material, then it is heat-treated at 400 deg.C or below. The metal organic composition is not limited particularly as far as it forms a metallic film via thermal decomposition at a relatively low temperature, carboxylic acid salt is particularly preferable within the metal organic compound, and carboxylic acid salt with the carbon number 6-18 (particularly aliphatic monocarboxylic acid salt) is most preferable. When the carboxylic acid salt is used, the metallic film more excellent in seizure resistance can be effectively formed. The carboxylic acid salt with the carbon number 6-18 is particularly effective for a screw member.
