PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a stable discharge amount at all times by reducing the effective suction head (NPSH) and precluding generation of cavitations. SOLUTION: An impeller 4 provided at the periphery with a number of vanes 6 is installed rotatably in a casing 3 equipped with a suction passage 1 and discharge passage 2, and a pressure boosting passage 8 is formed at the periphery of the impeller 4, wherein one end of this boosting passage 8 is connected with the suction passage 1 while the other end is connected with the discharge passage 2, and a sorting member 10 for fluid flowing into grooves 7 between the vanes 6, 6 from the fluid outflowing from the grooves 7 is provided in the connection part of the suction passage 1 with boosting passage 8.
