PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scaffold with a height adjusting function for a narrow space which can be installed even in a narrow place and is so designed as to improve the safety of work. SOLUTION: A base jack 6 is provided at the lower part of a pole main body 4 having a constitution wherein an upper pole member 3 is held in a tubular lower pole member 2, in a telescopic fashion so that the amount of letting out can be adjusted, and a safety belt fitting metal fixture 9 is fitted to the upper pole member 3, while ascending-descending steps 7A-7C and a working stage 8 are fitted to the lower pole member 2. The base jack is provided at the lower part of each leg pole of a main body which is constituted by connecting a pair of building frames with ladders in the upper parts of which handrail parts are provided in extension, while an extensible-contractible outrigger is provided rotatably for each leg pole.
