PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a plate material which can be exposed by an IR laser for a long time without causing image defects or the like by using an automatic developing device in which a specified amt. of a substantially unused developer is coated on every plate material to develop a plate material. SOLUTION: In the automatic developing device 1, the excess soln. of the developer sprayed to a plate material 10 by a spraying device 26 in a first zone is scraped off as not used for development of the plate material 10 by a wire bar 22 disposed near the spray device 26. Then a specified amt. of the developer is uniformly coated all over the surface of the plate material 10 by the wire bar 22. The developer scraped off hardly undergoes fatigue deterioration and is again supplied to the plate material 10 through the spraying device 26. Therefore, in this automatic developing device, development can be performed with a developer which is always in a good state and the plate material 10 can be developed for a long time without causing image defects or the like. |
