PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a computer network user to acquire desired information with whole character sensitivity as reference. SOLUTION: In this information retrieval system in a computer network consisting of a server and plural terminals, sensitivity date are acquired from users by presenting a sensitivity test to terminals, urging them to perform an input, etc., respective data are made numeric with prescribed reference, a user model obtained by dividing the data into a factor to which at least respective sensitivity data belong and each section in the factor and accumulating them individually is stored in the server, a mutual relation value is also acquired by such a manner that the server performs statistic processing of the user model of a registered user or a newly registered user and the user models of the other users, and the desired information of a user whose relation value comes within a prescribed range is outputted to the terminal of the user. Further, it is more suitable to provide a community retrieval function.
