PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a electrolytic capacitor for reducing an increase in temperatures caused by a ripple current, by improving performance of heat transfer from inside to outside in capacitor. SOLUTION: In an electrolytic capacitor, a metallic plate 200 is joined to a heat transmitting shaft 7 by making use of a projected shape of the heat transmitting shaft 7 at a center of a capacitor element 2. Then, the inner heat of the capacitor element 2 can be radiated to the outside effectively through the heat transmitting shaft 7 and the metallic plate 200. In addition, the heat of the metallic plate 200 can be radiated through an insulating sheet 260 to a chassis 100.
