PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently supply a heavy cotter pin to a cotter-driving device. SOLUTION: In this cotter type segment connection device, a loaded case 71 in which a plurality of cotter members 6A, 6B, 7 are detachably held is equipped in a case-retaining window 121 of a supply part-frame 121 by a case- clamp device 72. A cotter supply device 73 is provided so that the cotter members are taken out one by one from the case 71 loaded with cotter members by a supplying and holding device 129 having supply part-holding arm 154 which can hold the cotter members 6A, 6B, 7 to transfer them to a cotter entrance/exit 121b by a driving structure which can freely and both longitudinaily and latelally travel and move up and down.
