METHOD FOR REPELLING AND CONTROLLING COCKROACH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly effective method for repelling and controlling cockroach even for sites where cockroach has lived once comprising emitting rays of light from a specific light source. SOLUTION: This method for repelling and controlling cockroach comprises emitting the rays of light with chromaticity corresponding to the slanting line portion in a CIE chromaticity diagram shown in the figure from a high- luminance light-emitting diode and/or high-output light-emitting diode designed to emit the above kind of light. An article equipped with at least one of the above-mentioned light-emitting diodes and designed to actuate the diode(s) so as to repel and/or control cockroach can be afforded.
