PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly insert an endoscope without causing pain to an examinee even at initially inserting time in an endoscope advance assisting tool insertable into the large intestine in a self-traveling shape by making an endless belt arranged on the soft part outside of an inserting tube travel. SOLUTION: This self-traveling large intestine endoscope advance assisting tool has an anus inserting tube 1 having a smooth outside surface and a highly frictional inside surface. Then, an endoscope can be smoothly inserted into the large intestine without applying a burden to an inner wall of an anus part by advancing an inserting tube 21 by using advance force generated by outside friction of a highly frictional inside surface 3 of the anus inserting tube 1 and an endless belt 23 arranged in the inserting tube 21 of the endoscope. The tool can also be used for the inspection of a high radioactivity area of a nuclear reactor of a nuclear power plant, the inspection in a boiler tube, the investigation in remains and the search of survivors at earthquake disaster time besides diagnosis and treatment.
