摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an axially braking effect by combining a cylindrical magnet and a cylindrical semi-magnet and forming a plurality of magnetic poles on the cylindrical magnet in the axial direction. SOLUTION: Blackets 6, 6 are set in both end faces of a cylindrical housing 4 of this axially braking mechanism and each blacket 6 is provided at the center with a bearing 5. A shaft 1 is supported by the bearings 5, 5 so as to make a reciprocating motion in the directions shown by arrows C, C' and a cylindrical magnet 2 is secured on the outer surface of the shaft 1. On the inner surface of the housing 4, a cylindrical semi-magnet 3 is integrally formed and secured. Between the inner surface of the semi-magnet 3 and the outer surface of the magnet 2, a space is formed in the radial direction. The magnet 2 is formed with a plurality of magnetic poles in layers in the axial direction and in pairs in the circumferential direction. Depending on the position of each layer of the magnet 2, attractive force or braking force works on each part of the semi-magnet 3 and so, a region wherein braking force works can be obtained, Consequently, an axially braking mechanism having a braking effect in the axial direction can be obtained.
