PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for imparting intelligence to the analytical probe of a logic analyzer. SOLUTION: This system enables to reproduce an internal processor data signal of a target system 14 for analysis by a logic analyzer 11 from a data line used for another purpose by a processor of the target system 14. Actually, this analytical probe 13 is equipped with a programmable logic 32 for installing an interface between an emulation module 12 and the target system 14, a memory 31 for receiving signal reformation data from the emulation module 12, a processor 33 for generating a data map from the signal reformation data, and a programmable logic 30 for generating the internal processor data signal of the target system 14 from at least one of plural external data signals 41-45 from the target system 14 and the signal reformation data.
