PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary element which can be fitted simply and can support a door stably also after the fitting. SOLUTION: This auxiliary element for opening a door has a constitution wherein two long frames 2 and 3 are fitted rotatably to a U-shaped plate frame 1 which can be inserted through a handling part 52 and a rotary shaft 51 of a door handle 50 and to a rotary shaft 1a stretched between the upper and lower sides of the frame 1. The U-shaped frame 1 is inserted into the base of the rotary shaft 51 through the handling part 52 of the handle and the long frame 2 being the smaller is inserted through the handling part 52. Therefore the U-shaped frame 1 is prevented from rotating around the rotary shaft 51 of the handle. The door D being put in a half-opened state with a door chain left hooked, the long frame 3 being the larger is interposed between the rotary shaft 51 of the handle and a vertical frame D1 of the door and a short side 3a is brought into contact with the vertical frame D1. Since the auxiliary element is engaged with the handle 50 only by the U-shaped frame 1 and the long frame 2 being the smaller, it is fitted and removed simply and is also prevented from dropping.
