PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breake of a hold piece by positioning a retainer when it is assembled in a connector housing and enhance the reliability of slip-off checking of a seal ring without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: When a retainer 20 is assembled in a connector housing 10, a guide 21A provided on a slip-off check part 21 fits, ahead of a hold piece 22, into the connector housing 10 and positions the retainer 20. Accordingly, the hold piece 22 is prevented from hitting against the connector housing 20 to be broken. When the retainer 20 is in an installed state, the guide 21A passes through the connector housing 10 and abuts on a seal ring 13, thus checking the slip-off thereof. The reliability of slip-off checking of the seal ring 13 can be enhanced by the guide 21A without separately providing a component dedicated to the slip-off checking.
