Provided is a novel structure for joining metallic flat plate members, the structure being capable of increasing the strength of connection between the metallic flat plate members using a simple structure. A structure for joining metallic flat plate members (10) joins the overlapping portions (12) of two metallic flat plate members (10a, 10b). The overlapping portions (12) are joined by a joining section (16) formed by mechanical clinching, and one and/or the other of the two metallic flat plate members (10a, 10b) is provided with a rotation preventing protrusion (28) which protrudes in the direction same as the direction of protrusion of the joining section (16) and which engages with the other of the two metallic flat plate members (10a, 10b). |
