METHOD FOR CONTROLLING RECORD OF OPTICAL DISK

PURPOSE: A method for controlling record of optical disk is provided to prevent a recording stop according to an error occurred when recording data and a loss of a recording data previously by discriminating as to whether a disk is used before a record. CONSTITUTION: An optical recording/reproducing apparatus reads a media code by a manufacturer previously recorded in a specific region of an optical disk to identify the read media code(S1). An OPC(Optimum Power Control) process is performed(S2). An optimum recording power(x) is detected(S3). A recording power(y) registered in a database of a microcomputer is detected(S4). The detected optimum recording power(x) is compared with the recording power(y)(S5). It is judged as a media code surreptitious disk or a disk in which a material differs when the difference of the optimum recording power(x) and the recording power(y) is over a power margin(S6). A recording operation is not performed, and it is informed that the disk is a disapproval media(S7).
